The 52 Qard Game Series · Season 2
Belote
The Jack of trumps is worth twenty. Belote and rebelote, twenty more.

How to deal
Partners sit across the table. Deal five cards each from the 32-card deck and turn the next card face up. In two rounds the players may take that card's suit as trump; if nobody does, the hand is thrown in. The taker receives the turned card and the deal is completed to eight cards each.
How to play
The player to the dealer's right leads. You must follow suit, and when a trump is led you must beat it if you can; if you cannot follow, you must trump unless your partner holds the trick. In trumps the Jack is highest, worth twenty, then the Nine, worth fourteen; in the other suits the Ace leads.
How you win
Score the cards captured plus ten for the last trick. Holding the King and Queen of trumps and announcing belote and rebelote as you play them scores twenty. The taking side must score more than the other; fall short and all the points go to the defenders. First to a thousand wins.
W.F.A. deck setup for Belote
Play without the four 1s, then strip 2 through 6: 32 cards, the 07 in as the lowest card.
