The 52 Qard Game Series · Season 2
Briscola
Three cards in hand, no need to follow suit, sixty-one wins.

How to deal
Deal three cards each from the 40-card deck. Turn the next card face up under the stock: its suit is the briscola, the trump suit, for the hand.
How to play
The player to the dealer's right leads and play runs counter-clockwise. There is no obligation to follow suit: play any card you like. The highest briscola wins the trick; with no briscola played, the highest card of the led suit wins. The trick winner draws the top card of the stock, the others follow in turn, and the winner leads.
How you win
Count what you captured: Ace eleven, 3 ten, King four, Queen three, Jack two; the rest are worth nothing. A hand holds a hundred and twenty points, so sixty-one wins it. With four at the table play as partners across the table.
W.F.A. deck setup for Briscola
Play without the four 1s, then strip the 8s, 9s and 10s: 40 cards, the 07 in as the seven and the top pip card.
